Stefan Antoni Olmesdahl Truen Architects, is a firm of 110 young architectural designers and technicians including in-house CGI and marketing teams, as well as a strong support staff. It is driven by the dynamic combination of Stefan Antoni, Philip Olmesdahl, Greg Truen and Phillippe Fouché who share a potent vision easily distinguished in their design. SAOTA has received numerous awards both in South Africa and internationally. In 2010, MIPIM International awarded SAOTA a commendation for their Dakar Tower project. In 2012, SAOTA was honored with the South African Institute of Architects Corobrik Award for Excellence and Award of Merit. The Corobrik-SAIA Award for Excellence was introduced in 1990, and is conferred every second year where it recognises an exceptional contribution to the field of architecture. The award programme was revised in 1999, and now includes the Awards of Merit. The Corobrik-SAIA Awards of Merit is made to members of SAIA to encourage and recognise good design or a significant contribution in the field of architecture. The Award for Excellence is made only for an exceptional achievement in the field of architecture. Only projects which have received an Award of Merit are eligible for this award.
